  1. Lifting the embargo would improve the image of the United States around the world. lifting the blockade would contribute to the United States a totally new market of 11 million people. It would generate employment and end the situation in which American companies cannot compete in Cuba. Restrictions on U.S. travel to the island that require most Americans to get U.S. government permission to visit.

  2. Obama's cabinet members would like to lift the embargo act which is something i feel would be good for us as a country. I think the embargo should end because not only would it make "trade" easier but it would also make commutes to Cuba easier for Americans.

  3. Obama's Cabinet member want to lift the trade embargo act because they feel it would help America. I think we should lift the embargo act because we would be able to help out cubans who need it. Also, cubans who live here now can legally visit their families in Cuba once every 3 years. As an American, I think everyone should be allowed to visit Cuba if they feel like it.

  4. Obama's Cabinet member wants to lift the trade embargo act because this would help America. I think the US should open trade with Cuba and end the Embargo act. Trade is so much better than actually spending money and could improve our economy.

  5. In my opinion I do think that the United States should open up trade and have relation with Cuba. The reason why i say this is because cuba needs our help they are not doing that well on ther own. Economically they are really struggling. Also by doing this it would make trade much eaiser for the both of us. Families would be able to see there loved ones with out a visa and with out the hassle. I think that everyone would benifit from this if the trade embargo act as lifted.

  6. Despite all of the obstacles still today, President Obama's cabinet would like to lift the embargo act to reach out to the Cuban people and meet their desired want of a free country. I feel that lifting the embargo act would benefit both Cuba and the US because visitations would become easier especially for relatives as well as beneficial trades and economic opportunities.

  7. What President Obama's cabinet members want to do is lift the Embargo act because it pretty much makes America look better, also it helps the Cuban people. Honestly i agree with this because even though yeah we pretty much hate each other because America went in to take over so the Cubans hate us but i feel like if we opened up trade with them things would be easier, we would also be able to visit the islands etc. And over all its just a win win situation for the both of us because i feel like we would both benefit from it.

  8. President Obama's cabinet members want to lift the Embargo Act. I believe the US and Cuba would benefit from this. More trade for America, and more tourism for Cuba. Lifting the Embargo Act would bring more economic opportunities, and bring more help to Cuba. This would make it easier for family members to see each other. Both countries would benefit greatly from this.

  9. What Barrack's cabinet has intended has already been stated many times. As for any human relation whether it be held between two people or two nations - grudges are an unhealthy and childish stalemate (in this case of post-cold-war). If any nation is changing their ways to benefit their individual citizens routes for beginning open relations should be executed. VIVA LA CUBA

  10. Lifting the embargo would benefit the united states and cuba. There would be a lot more jobs which would raise the economy. There would be no reason for people to risk their lives to get a better life. Cuba should let the U.S help them give their citizens better oppurtunies to their people.

  11. Obamas cabinet wants to lift the embargo act. I think this would be a good thing for both the U.S and Cuba. By doing this the cubans can visit family members more often and the U.S will benefit economically. More trade equals better opportunities for everyone.

  12. The continuation of the embargo act has only been held strong with the support of George W. Bush's presidency and his continuous pointless support towards it. Doing some extra reading I found that in 2000 the U.S. allowed limited agricultural trade to Cuba which had been taken advantage of by only a few states (Texas, Nebraska.) The only obstacle is the argumentative two party bear trap which America has caught a leg in.

Very informative if your looking for a decent overview of the subject. > http://www.cfr.org/cuba/us-cuba-relations/p11113

  15. From reading this article, I do believe that the cabinet does want to lift the embargo, I believe it can really help us and help them out if we are able to trade freely with them. We could help their economy and in the long run they can benefit from us if we lift this embargo.

  16. Obama's cabinet wants to lift the embargo to benefit both Cuba and America. I believe they should lift the embargo because it has driven a wedge between these countries for too long. Families have been separated, and it's just causing a problem for everyone. If they opened up trade with Cuba, both economies would benefit greatly.
